The confusion is common and the difference is simple: PPF is a thick film that absorbs impacts — stones and scratches — while ceramic coating is a thin chemical layer that adds gloss and a water-repellent surface and makes washing easier, but will not stop a stone. If your concern is stone chips and deeper wash scratches, the answer is PPF. If it is gloss and easy cleaning, a coating is enough.

What do we offer at NewTech?
Our services here are PPF protection in American TPU films, a three-stage polish that finishes with a protective layer to hold the correction, and ceramic rim protection. Full-body ceramic coating is not currently one of our services — we say so plainly rather than sell you one thing under the name of another.
What is the correct order?
- Paint correction first: film preserves what is underneath, so anything not corrected before fitting stays locked under it.
- Then the film: on a perfectly clean surface, in an enclosed bay.
- Then rims and glass: separate services that can be combined into the same visit.
The Kuwait case specifically
Highways, blown sand and gravel-laden trucks make front-end chipping a matter of when, not if, and summer heat accelerates paint oxidation. That tilts the answer towards PPF for daily drivers, and makes front-end protection the highest return per dinar when the budget is limited.

Can I combine both?
Yes, and it is common: film on the chip-exposed panels and a coating on the rest. We cover the film and polish side; full-body coating is not one of our services.
Does PPF change the car's colour?
No, the film is crystal clear, does not change the paint colour, and adds gloss.
Does the film yellow under Kuwait's sun?
Our film has a UV-resistant layer and a ten-year warranty against yellowing. Rapid yellowing is a problem of cheap PVC films.
How long does a polish last?
It depends on care and washing. The final layer in the three-stage polish holds the result, but it is not a substitute for film in stopping stone chips.
