Home security cameras in Kuwait are chosen on three points: whether the location is indoors or outdoors, whether mains power reaches it or it needs solar, and whether Wi-Fi is enough or a 4G SIM is required. We stock nine models priced between 12 and 89 KWD from iMPROVED and Tiandy covering all three cases: the iMPROVED S1 and S2 outdoor cameras at 4K with optical zoom running on solar power with no wiring, the x99 camera that works on 4G where Wi-Fi does not reach, the Z3 indoor camera controlled remotely from the app, and Tiandy TC-C38XQ and TC-C38WQ at 8MP alongside TC-C35XQ and TC-C35WQ at 5MP with two-way audio and colour night vision. Two-way audio means you hear and speak through the app, which is the difference between watching what happened and stepping in while it happens.

Wi-Fi or solar power?

Wi-Fi suits positions close to the network and to power, inside the house and at covered entrances. Solar with a 4G SIM suits distant positions: boundary walls, farms, stores and work sites, where there is neither cable nor router.

4 megapixels or 8?

Higher resolution shows itself when you zoom into a recording, not on the live view. 5MP is enough to identify a person at the door. 8MP is needed when you want to read a plate number or facial features from a distance, at gates and around a villa.

Do I need internet at the site?

For remote viewing, yes. For sites with no fixed internet the cameras run on a data SIM, and we supply Ooredoo SIMs made for security cameras with subscription terms from one month to one year.

Bundles include the cameras, the recorder and the hard drive, and are ordered at three installation levels: programming only, cable pulling, or cables with conduit. The work is carried out by the Newtech team inside Kuwait.
