The Smart Lock Installation and Programming Service from Newtech Store is carried out by a NewTech technician, who installs the smart lock on the door and connects it to the mobile app, and it costs 10 KD. It suits anyone who has bought a smart lock but doesn't have drilling and routing tools, or who doesn't want to risk a new door with precise measurements that leave no room for cutting errors. The service covers three main tasks: mechanical installation on a wooden, aluminum or iron door, including adjusting the latch and handle; programming the lock, linking it to the app and registering fingerprints and the PIN code; then explaining how to add users and temporary passwords, and testing that the lock works. The rule that saves time in Kuwait: photograph the door from both sides, measure its thickness and the position of the current lock, and send the photos before booking the appointment, because some apartment doors and armored doors need special cutting or an adapter piece, which changes the job duration and may require an initial inspection visit. Book the installation for a time when an adult is at home, so fingerprints and codes can be registered during the same visit instead of postponing the setup to a later time.
