Step by step — how to add a temporary user for the housemaid
These steps are in the Tuya Smart app — free to install on iOS and Android:

Open the Tuya Smart app and select the lock
From the app's home page, tap the smart lock image in your device list.

Tap the settings icon (⚙️) at the top of the screen
You'll find the full lock management options — users, logs, modes and notifications.

Choose "Manage Members" or "User Management"
Here you see a list of all currently added users — family, guests and domestic workers.

Tap "+" to add a new user
Choose the type: Temporary Password (temporary PIN) or Fingerprint. Enter the user's name so they're easy to identify later in the logs.
Choose the allowed days of the week (for example, Sunday to Thursday) and set the start and end times (8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.). Different times can be chosen for each day.
Set the times with an extra 30 minutes before and after for flexibility

Save and share the code with the worker
The app will generate a PIN code automatically — send it to the housemaid or driver via WhatsApp. The code works immediately during the set times.

Turn on notifications
From the lock settings, turn on "Door Lock Notifications" — you'll get an instant message every time the lock is used with any code, including the housemaid's code.
